A one-day tour to Wakan Village in Oman includes transportation, scenic drives through the Hajar Mountains, exploring the picturesque village on foot, optional hiking, cultural experiences like visiting the mosque, lunch, and relaxing in the serene surroundings.
Start from Mussanah and drive to Nakhl, en route visit Barka fish market and reach Nakhal which has a 350 years old magnificent fort and is dramatically located at the top of rocky mountain cliff.
Not anything in particular. Decent attire is recommended.
The area is surrounded with date plantations. The narrow road through the town winds up to the Hot Springs of Ayn Al Thuwarah, which is a popular picnic spot.
After spending some time at Nakhl we will drive to Wakan Village. Hike up and then drive down to Rustaq.
Visit Al Kasfah hot springs. Locally known as Ayn Al Kasfah,. Ayn Al Kasfah is a natural hot spring with waters reaching temperatures of around 45 degrees Celsius. Unlike other springs in the Sultanate, the Kasfah hot springs have traces of sulphur in the water that has been clinically proven to have healing properties especially for those with joint issues and other arterial issues.
From Rustaq drive back to Muscat. Arrive in Muscat late afternoon
