Drive past the Illuminated Royal Opera House Muscat (visiting will be optional)
Continue along the Cornische, which crafted the ornate home and wavering waterfront views over the Hajar Mountain and Persian Gulf. Practice the art of bargaining while you browse the stalls at Muttrah Souq, - a traditional market filled with Omani silver, gold, pottery, textiles and handicrafts.
View the exterior of Al Alam Palace – the ceremonial residence of His Majesty–overlooking the Gulf of Oman and flanked by the two 16th century Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani.
